Yes!
You couldn't before, but now you can :-) But only if you are in the US :-(

Remember that you will be losing features, so some of the items below may be affected, depending upon what version you are moving to.  The data behind those features will still be there, but you won't be able to access them.

There are some steps you need to do and things to be aware of when you do this.  Here is a short list:

  1. You need to delete all of your Recurring Transactions/Templates
  2. You will lose inventory - Your inventory items must be made inactive, and the quantity on hand must be zero for everything
  3. You will lose 1099 vendor tracking (in the US)
  4. All 3rd party apps that are connected will automatically be disconnected
  5. Any discounts you had on the subscriptions will be lost, and the pricing will move to whatever the current standard price is

Some things that will prevent the downgrade completely:
  1. Multicurrency - if it's turned on, you can't turn it off, and it will prevent downgrading
  2. Wholesale Billing
