Yup.  We recommend that you close the books after you've completed the bank rec process.  Especially if you clients are also entering transactions into books.

Here is how you do it:

From the Gear Icon in the top right corner, go to Company Settings

Click on the Advanced Tab

In the top Accounting Section, you will see the option of Close the Books

Click on the word Off and a drop down menu option will appear for you to select your parameters.
