At this time there is no backup functionality in QBO.  For some of our clients we create the following set of reports for their peace of mind.  The interval of the download depends on the amount of volume that goes through the database.

  1. Balance Sheet
  2. Profit and Loss
  3. General Ledger
  4. Trial Balance

You also have the ability to create a custom report group with these 4 reports so that they automatically get generated and emailed out, so that you don't have to manually do it, or remember to do it.
